It is difficult to believe that all this could be coincidence. But in the same week that was marked by an increase in violence Mass shootings in Brovary (Kyiv region), outrage at the police station in Kagarlyk (Kyiv region), seven people shot in the Novoselitsa, Zhytomir region sociologists of our foundation registered some very eloquent results in our weekly survey:
In the week of May 25-29, for the first time in a month and a half of our research, men are less likely to experience hope for tomorrow than women.
Among the emotions you feel, which one prevails today?
As you can see in Chart 1, in the previous six weeks (from April 11th) men more often than women replied that they were «living with hope for tomorrow», meaning they were confident about tomorrow.
But as the seventh week approached, the optimistic men started "runing out of steam." And coincidentally, this week was marked by several bloody crimes in Ukraine which occurred one after another.

In the week of May 25-29, for the first time, men were more likely to experience fear than humiliation.
Previous surveys showed, that 23.6% of all men in Ukraine would respond, that they live with fear. Today this number is 27.1%.
An interesting fact is that part of the humiliation that men experienced last week turned into fear. The level of hope of Ukrainian men has barely changed.

At the same time, the fear because of their personal lives and work has doubled, and events in the country seemed to be less frightening.
